This healing-centered candlelight ceremony offers a gentle, culturally responsive space for Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color to gather in grief, remembrance, and collective care. QTBIPOC community members, whose experiences may sit at the intersections of race, culture, gender, and sexuality, are especially welcome.
Through grounding, reflection, silence, breath, and candle lighting, we will honor the people, places, communities, cultures, relationships, dreams, and other losses we carry, including grief shaped by racism, displacement, colonization, cultural loss, deportation, and other experiences of marginalization. There is no expectation to speak or share. Together, we will make room for sorrow and remembrance while drawing on cultural wisdom, connection, resilience, and the strength of being in community.
